Frequently Asked Questions

A list of typical questions people ask us

Do you have any questions about our house clearance and waste removal services? To help, we have compiled a list of answers to questions people often ask CJ Waste Services about removing your rubbish.

Waste Types

What waste materials can you take?

We take all types of non-hazardous bulky waste. Common examples include:
- Builders / repairs / construction / demolition / DIY waste - like kitchen and bathroom rip out, drywall, doors.
- Plasterboard - smaller pieces ideally should be bagged.
- Bric-a-brac and general bulky junk - for example: boxes, books, tools, clothes, toys, packaging materials.
- Furniture - mattress, cupboards, tables, sofas, armchairs, upholstered domestic seating.
- Garden refuse - branches, cut grass, leaves, soil, old pots, lawn mower, garden furniture.
- Wood - fence panels, wood flooring, plywood, doors, garden dates, garden sheds, plasterboard.
- Flooring - underlay, carpet tiles, carpet, laminate. - Large Household Appliances - like dishwashers, washing machines, cookers, microwaves, boilers, domestic fridges (not commercial fridges/chiller cabinets).

For regulatory and health and safety reasons, we CANNOT remove hazardous waste like asbestos, oil, petrol, diesel, gas bottles, clinical or biological waste, batteries, tyres or paint.

Areas Covered

What areas do you cover?

CJ Waste Services are based in Waterlooville. We cover areas such as Petersfield, Clanfield, Horndean, Cowplain, Hambledon, Denmead, Purbrook, Widley, Havant and Bedhampton. However, you can always contact us if your area is not mentioned here.

Collection

Does my waste need to be in one place?

There is no need to put it all in one location. We’re happy to collect your rubbish from multiple locations on your premises, whether it be inside, upstairs or outside – as long as it is safe to access.

It can be helpful when the waste is clearly separated or in one place for our team to collect, as this will make sure we are providing you with an accurate quote and ensure we clear all waste from your premises. This is particularly useful if you are not available and someone else is showing us what to remove from your property.
